I went to see Stardust today. I'd been meaning to go for a while now. I loved it. Even though it was different from the book, I didn't mind, it was just so awesome. Charlie Cox was so cute as Tristan and Robert De Niro... He stole the movie.
I think it's more like dyed blonde hair is thought of as skanky. It's a pity, anyway :/
Oh yes, the airship! I love that kind of airships, the old Final Fantasy style is my favourite, with the tiny propellers XD
Claire Dane's hair was bleached to crap in that movie, you could see it when she had it tied up that her natural hair is darker. Though I think that hair was in turn lightened itself, I think her hair is very dark naturally.
But, it still looked gorgeous. Bleached hair looks beautiful when it's done right - or even when it's done wrong on someone with good skintone and the right wardrobe. What look skanky is tanned white girls with shocking pink and bleached hair.
Bleached hair tends to go some very pretty colours, much nicer than the washed out, sandy natural shades. Even natural light blondes, like norse blonde, just aren't as vibrant.
People blame the hair because it's "unnatural". People have been bleaching/dying their hair since they were feral, so I don't think so. I think natural hair colour is over-rated. It's defnitely a pity alright. Bleached hair can also look VERY ethereal with pale skin and gothy clothing. It's a shame people simplify and box off ideas of beauty.

I also loved the Steampunk element in the movie, with the airship. Very Final Fantasy. Wish to see more of this!
